Case 001 · Your brief
The picture tells a convincing lie.
Braemoor Lodge is hosting a fundraiser for a privately run sound archive. Its founder, Rowan Vale, has spent the evening upstairs sorting documents. Shortly after the programme ends, the duty manager finds him at the foot of the studio steps.
The initial story is an accidental fall. But four people had access, each had something to lose, and one claims a whole room of witnesses saw him elsewhere.
Your task is to establish what happened, examine the strongest alibi, and identify the killer. Each correct deduction unlocks the next five documents.
All people, organisations, places and events are fictional. The case rules in File 05 define what can be assumed. No outside research is needed.
You can play alone or discuss the case together around one device. Remote rooms and shared chat are not included in this test build.
